Mid-Century Italian Poliedri Chandelier by Carlo Scarpa for Venini, c.1960s

An exceptional Mid-Century Italian Poliedri chandelier designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini, dating to the 1960s. This iconic design exemplifies Scarpa's architectural approach to Murano glass, combining sculptural geometry with the exceptional craftsmanship of the Venini furnace.

The chandelier is composed entirely of clear hand-blown Murano glass Poliedri, individually cast with richly textured surfaces that refract and diffuse light beautifully. Suspended in a dense, multi-tiered arrangement, the glass creates a striking architectural form while producing an extraordinary interplay of light, depth, and transparency.

A defining work of Italian Mid-Century design, Scarpa's Poliedri chandeliers remain among the most celebrated and highly collectible lighting designs produced by Venini, admired for their timeless elegance and sculptural presence.

Whether installed in a contemporary interior or a significant design collection, this chandelier serves as both functional lighting and an important work of Venetian glass artistry.
