Vintage Taccia Table by Meret Oppenheim for Simon Gavina, c.1980's

Gold leaf wooden to with solid cast bronze bird like feet. The table top has imprints of bird feet.
The name 'Taccia' means trace, referring to the fact that objects can be distinguished even though only traces are evident.

Originally designed in 1939 by the Surrealist artist, Meret Oppenheim, it was later put into production by Gavina.

The coffee table/side table has signs of wear consistent with the age.
