Vintage Italian ‘Giogali’ Glass Link Chandelier by Angelo Mangiarotti
An exceptional Italian Giogali chandelier designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, featuring an abundant composition of iconic hand-formed glass links.
Originally designed by Mangiarotti in the 1960s, the Giogali system is celebrated for its distinctive interlocking glass elements. Each sculptural link connects to the next, allowing the glass itself to form a cascading, jewel-like structure around the light source.
This example features a substantial quantity of vintage clear glass Giogali links, arranged in concentric tiers to create a large, rounded chandelier. The overlapping glass captures, refracts and multiplies the light, giving the piece remarkable brilliance and visual depth while retaining the fluidity characteristic of Mangiarotti's design.
The chandelier has been assembled using the original vintage glass elements on a newly produced circular chrome frame, providing a strong and functional structure while preserving the character and beauty of the vintage glass.
