Vintage Italian Floor Lamp, attributed to Carlo Nason for Mazzega, c.1970s
A striking and architecturally composed floor lamp, attributed to Carlo Nason for Mazzega, showcasing the designer’s distinctive exploration of geometric Murano glass forms.
The piece is defined by three sculptural, faceted glass diffusers—each with a softly contoured, almost diamond-like silhouette—mounted in a vertical sequence along a polished chrome structure. The glass exhibits a subtle linear texture, gently diffusing the light to produce a warm, atmospheric glow while maintaining a crisp, modern edge.
The chromed frame, with its clean cylindrical housings and arched upper support, reinforces the lamp’s strong architectural presence, balancing precision with the softness of the illuminated glass. The composition feels both highly structured and quietly expressive—hallmarks of Nason’s work during this period.
Raised on a circular chrome base, the lamp maintains a slender, elegant profile, making it ideal as both a functional light source and sculptural object within a space.
Rewired to Australian standards.
Vintage piece with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, including light surface marks and natural patina to the chrome.
