Mid-Century Italian Murano Glass Chandelier by Toni Zuccheri for Venini, c.1960s
A striking mid-century chandelier designed by Toni Zuccheri for Venini, one of the most celebrated collaborations to emerge from Murano during the 1960s.
The chandelier is composed of numerous vertically suspended hand-blown Murano glass tubular elements, each with a richly textured surface that softly diffuses the light. The organic rippling within the glass creates a sculptural effect, producing a beautiful interplay of light and shadow when illuminated.
Arranged in a cascading formation, the tubes create a dramatic layered silhouette characteristic of Italian lighting design from this period. The piece exemplifies Venini’s mastery of glassmaking, combining refined craftsmanship with bold architectural form.
The chandelier is suspended from its original frame and has been fully rewired to Australian standards, making it suitable for immediate installation.
A rare and elegant statement piece, ideal for both contemporary and classic interiors.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age.
