Mid Century Italian Brutalist Wall Sconce by Poliarte, c.1970's.

This incredibly unique wall sconce is by the famous Italian Brutalist Artist Albano Poli. Starting his career in restoring and repairing church stained glass windows.
Poli created the company 'Poliarte' in 1968. Using unusual techniques and raw materials.
The company lasted till 1979 at which time the company of Albano Poli 'Progetto Arte Poli' still makes stained glass windows.
The sconce used beaten metal along with coloured glass that has been formed by hand.
This is a vintage piece and there are signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece.
The sconce is rewired to Australian standards.
