Mid-Century Italian Chandelier, c.1960s
A beautifully resolved mid-century Italian chandelier defined by its sculptural restraint and architectural clarity. The composition is formed by three softly curved cylindrical glass diffusers, arranged in a balanced triangular configuration and suspended within a minimal black metal framework.
Each shade is executed in satin opaline glass, gently diffusing light to produce a warm, even glow. The contrast between the crisp white glass and the dark, linear frame gives the piece a strong graphic presence, while the aged brass suspension introduces warmth and a subtle patina consistent with its period.
The internal structure reveals a considered level of detailing, with central rods and fittings expressed through the glass, adding depth and a sense of quiet engineering precision.
Suspended from a three-arm brass support, the chandelier maintains a lightness despite its geometric form, making it highly versatile across both residential and commercial interiors.
Rewired to Australian standards.
Vintage piece with signs of wear consistent with age and use, including natural patination to the brass elements.
