Contemporary ‘Tronchi’ Chandelier by eModerno – Cristallo & Fume

A striking contemporary Tronchi chandelier by eModerno, handcrafted by master artisans in our Venetian furnace using traditional Murano glassmaking techniques.

The chandelier is composed of individually hand-blown Tronchi glass elements, named for their distinctive “log” form. Arranged across multiple descending tiers, the glass creates a dramatic sculptural silhouette with exceptional depth, rhythm and presence.

This example is executed in a refined combination of Cristallo and Fume glass. The alternating clear and softly tinted tones create warmth and movement, while the vertically textured surfaces capture and refract the light throughout the chandelier. Each piece terminates in a gently scalloped, organic edge—a characteristic of the handmade glass.

The tiered circular composition references the iconic Tronchi lighting designs that emerged from Murano during the 1960s, reinterpreted here as a contemporary eModerno piece and handcrafted in Venice today.

The Tronchi can be fully customised to suit individual interiors and architectural projects, including overall dimensions, number of tiers, glass colour and frame finish. It can be configured as a flush mount or suspended with a chain or fixed drop, depending on ceiling height and spatial requirements.
