‘Rostrato’ Contemporary Venetian Murano Glass Wall Sconce by eModerno – Cristallo

Manufactured by eModerno and handcrafted in our furnace just outside Venice, the Rostrato wall sconce is a sculptural expression of traditional Venetian glassmaking.

Presented here in Cristallo, the sconce features a substantial hand-blown Murano glass shade characterised by its distinctive deeply textured, irregular surface. The pronounced ridges and sculptural folds capture and refract the light, creating beautiful movement and depth across the clear glass when illuminated.

The glass is paired with a sculptural brass wall mount, creating a warm contrast against the transparency of the Cristallo glass. Each glass shade is individually formed by hand, resulting in subtle variations in texture, shape and character that are inherent to the artisanal process.

The brass frame will naturally atone over time as is the nature of brass.

As with all eModerno contemporary lighting, the Rostrato can be fully customised to suit individual projects, with glass colour and frame finish able to be specified.
