A beautiful pair of vintage Italian wall sconces by Barovier & Toso, handcrafted in Murano, Venice.

Each sconce features an elaborate arrangement of individually moulded clear Murano glass leaves, layered to create a sculptural, botanical form. The glass is richly textured with pronounced veining and irregular scalloped edges, allowing the light to refract through the surface and highlighting the depth and craftsmanship of each leaf.

A substantial moulded glass lower section completes the design, with discreet metal fittings holding the individual elements in place. When illuminated, the clear textured glass produces a warm, atmospheric glow while retaining the striking sculptural quality of the piece when switched off.

An elegant example of post-war Italian decorative lighting, combining the exceptional glassmaking tradition of Murano with Barovier & Toso's distinctive approach to highly decorative, organic forms.
