'Nastri' Chandelier by Venini, Italy, c.1970s–1980s

An exceptionally rare and elegant 'Nastri' or 'Ribbons' chandelier by Venini, Italy, dating from the 1970s–1980s. This sculptural ceiling light is composed of individually handcrafted clear Murano glass ribbons, meticulously arranged in a flowing woven pattern and mounted on a gold-plated brass frame.

The delicate glass ribbons create a striking interplay of light, transparency, and movement, while the woven composition showcases the extraordinary craftsmanship for which Venini is internationally renowned. Illuminated from within, the glass softly diffuses the light, producing a warm, sophisticated glow and an ever-changing display of reflections.

With its refined proportions and distinctive sculptural form, the Nastri chandelier is a timeless statement piece that complements both Mid-Century and contemporary interiors. Rarely found on the market, it is a highly collectible example of Venetian glass artistry and one of Venini's most elegant lighting designs.

Condition: This is a vintage piece and displays signs of wear consistent with its age. There is visible wear and patina to the gold-plated brass structure, along with a small crack to one of the Murano glass ribbons, please see images included as these form part of the description. The chandelier remains structurally sound and presents beautifully, with the minor imperfections reflecting its authentic vintage character.
