Contemporary Italian Concave Mirror with Copper Aged Patina

This piece is not conceived as a conventional mirror. It is an optical glass art object — a lens mirror — where reflection is secondary to form, process, and spatial impact.
Each lens mirror is entirely hand-made in Italy, crafted in through a highly specialised glass-forming process that cannot be replicated by machine. The glass is rolled, curved, and shaped by hand, requiring precise control, timing, and temperature to achieve its final optical curvature. This process is slow, exacting, and unforgiving — and it is precisely what gives the piece its depth, distortion, and presence.
Unlike mass-produced mirrors cut from flat sheets, these lenses are formed as true curved glass, behaving as an architectural lens rather than a reflective surface. The result is a sculptural object that bends space, compresses perspective, and transforms its surroundings. It reflects — but more importantly, it reinterprets.
We offer two distinct artistic expressions:
Clear Lens Mirrors
Clean, refined, and luminous. These pieces maintain optical clarity while still introducing subtle spatial distortion through curvature alone.
Aged Lens Mirrors
Intentionally distressed and patinated during the hand-forming process. The surface carries depth, variation, and irregularity, introducing texture and atmosphere — no two are ever the same.
Each finish offers a different emotional register, but both are unmistakably sculptural.
Every lens mirror is made to order and fully customisable. We produce these works in any size, any colour, and any shape, scaling from intimate art objects to monumental installations of up to two metres in diameter. A wide spectrum of mirrored finishes is available, including clear, bronze, smoke, blue, amber, and bespoke tones developed specifically for the suggested space.
Because of the nature of the process — hand-rolled glass, curved forming, and manual finishing — no two lens mirrors are identical. Each piece carries subtle variation, making it a one-of-a-kind object rather than a repeat product.
These works are equally suited to private residences, architectural projects, hospitality environments, and gallery-level interiors. Hung alone, they function as sculptural focal points. Installed in scale, they become optical architecture — reshaping how a space is perceived rather than simply decorating it.
