Vintage Italian Reconstituted Stone Oval Dining Table in Nero Marquina Finish, c.1960s–1970s

Exceptional vintage Italian oval dining table dating to the late 1960s–1970s, executed in reconstituted stone with a striking Nero Marquina–style finish.
The generously scaled oval tabletop displays dramatic swirling veining in tones of deep charcoal, black, and soft white, polished to a high gloss that enhances the depth and movement of the stone. The top is edged with subtly detailed metal banding, adding a refined decorative accent while also protecting the perimeter.
The table is supported by a bold, sculptural oval pedestal base, also finished in matching reconstituted stone. The flared, architectural form is grounded by a wide plinth, reinforced with metal detailing and a contrasting brass-tone ring at the neck, lending both visual balance and structural integrity. The pedestal has undergone historical repairs, which are not visible once the tabletop is correctly positioned and do not detract from the overall presentation or function of the piece.
A strong and elegant example of Italian design from the period, combining classical monumentality with mid-century modern material experimentation. The use of reconstituted stone allows for dramatic veining and sculptural mass while maintaining durability and presence.
The table is presented in very good vintage condition, with minor surface marks and light wear consistent with age, visible upon close inspection.
A statement dining table suited to sophisticated residential interiors, galleries, or collectors seeking an iconic Italian piece with architectural presence.
